ABOUT MARIA
Maria Marino is a public servant and 35-year small business owner with a history of community engagement. She has served the last 7 years as an elected official, currently as a Palm Beach County Commissioner and previously as a Palm Beach Gardens council member, twice as Mayor. She is also a 30-year member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
In her elected capacity, Maria sits on over 15 Boards that focus on economic development, natural resources, and transportation. She also serves on several non-profit boards in an Ex-Officio capacity and partners with over 20 local charities.
Maria is a leader and motivational speaker at the national, state and local level. Most recently as the Keynote Speaker for the Miami Women’s Leadership Summit and the LPGA National Seminar. She is a mentor for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Women’s Foundation and the Student ACES Program.
This past May, Maria received the 2023 Leadership Palm Beach County Leadership Excellence Award. She is also a 2019 Women of Excellence Award Honoree by the National Foundation of Women Legislators and has received the Presidential Advocacy Award from the Florida Association of Counties for 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2017, Maria was named the “Woman of the Year” by the Palm Beach North Chamber.
Maria is also a 2019 Honoree of the Norwalk, Connecticut Athletic Association that recognizes hometown heroes who have distinguished themselves in sports and beyond.

- Protecting our agriculture because it is one of the leading economic drivers in our county
- Improving our roadways to reduce traffic congestion
- Working with the State and the School Board to develop more technical programs for our youth
- Working with the Opioid Task Force to continue to fight this crisis
- Promoting open, transparent and accessibly County government
